Inviting People to Comms Teams
Page last updated , CESIntro
While you can add people in the same Team to a channel from mobile apps, you can only add new people to Teams from the Comms web app in the browser, at https://comms.redfightback.org or using the Desktop app.
Make sure you're in the Team you're trying to invite to. In most cases this is your branch Team.

Inviting new people without Comms Accounts
Note that you have to be a Team Admin in your branch team to add people to it. Server Admins can add people to any team.
- Select the Team menu at the top of the Navigation Panel.
- Select
Invite People. - If there’s an option to invite members and guests, choose
Invite Members. - In the
Invite Peoplefield, enter the email address of the person you want to add. - Select
Invite Members.
Inviting people who already have Comms
- Select the Team menu at the top of the Navigation Panel.
- Select
Invite People. - If there’s an option to invite members and guests, choose
Invite Members. - In the
Invite Peoplefield, enter the Comms@handleof the person you want to add. - Select
Invite Members.
Problems
1. Invitation was not sent: Your license does not support guest accounts
Make sure you're inviting people to your Branch Team and not RFB Public. People can join RFB Public themselves once they're in your Branch Team.
2. Someone removed themselves from Comms and now can't get back in, seeing 'No teams are available to join'
A Team Admin must send the person another invite, doing so using their Comms @handle and not their email address.
3. Someone has lost the email they used to sign up to Comms
We don't have access to the email address they signed up with. They must make a new email, and then contact a Server Admin (@AY) so their account can have the new email added.
